Powering the Future
“As an undergraduate student, I’ve had the opportunity to do backstage tours of NASA, talk with former astronauts, meet with heads of industry from Lockheed, Northrop, Siemens and Mitsubishi, and conduct government-funded research to better cool engines in hypersonic aircraft in a state-of-the-art lab right on campus. Thanks to UCF’s College of Engineering and Computer Science and opportunities like these made possible by donors, I’m getting to pursue my girlhood dream of propelling space exploration.”
Jordan Hires, aerospace engineering major
At UCF’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, innovation isn’t just taught — it’s built, coded, tested and launched. Every day, students tackle real-world challenges, from designing smarter cities to advancing space exploration and developing technologies that improve lives. Your gift on UCF Day of Giving helps make this possible.
The College of Engineering and Computer Science received 500+ gifts on UCF Day of Giving 2025 and more than $317,000 in funding. Because of you, students have greater access to scholarships, hands-on research, state-of-the-art labs and mentorship from faculty and industry leaders.
But your impact goes beyond labs and lecture halls. You’re fueling the next generation of engineers and computer scientists who will make our world safer, better connected and more efficient.
