“I don’t know if it’s every little girl’s dream to work on classified projects with military and civilian applications, but it definitely was this little girl’s dream. Thanks to UCF, I’ve had experiences that most students don’t get until graduate school.”

Jordan Hires, aerospace engineering major and Burnett Honors College Scholar

At UCF’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, innovation isn’t just taught — it’s built, coded, tested and launched. Every day, students tackle real-world challenges, from designing smarter cities to advancing space exploration and developing technologies that improve lives. Your gift on UCF Day of Giving helps make this important work possible.

With a growing student population of more than 16,600 students, the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) offers over 40 degrees, tracks and certificates, fostering collaboration, creativity, mentorship and leadership.

More than 300 donors made generous contributions to the college on UCF Day of Giving 2026, resulting in $988,894 in funding that will empower the next generation of industry leaders. Because of you, students have greater access to scholarships, hands-on research, state-of-the-art labs and learning spaces, and mentorship from top faculty and experts.

But your impact goes beyond labs and lecture halls. You’re fueling the next generation of engineers and computer scientists who will build a future the world has only begun to imagine.
